Clock Care & Tips

It is important to put every now and then a good quality furniture oil on your cuckoo clock including the wood carvings. This gives the clock a new fresh look and also stops the timber from drying out too much.

Also put two or three mothballs in the back of the cuckoo clock. This keeps the unwanted silverfish and other insects out of the clock. It is a good idea to stick the mothballs down with a bit of blue tack.

To hang up your cuckoo clock always use a good woodscrew, screwed in with about an 45 degree angle to top. This stops the clock from moving forward away from the wall.
